This video is a perfect example of crony capitalism. Large breweries in Florida want to keep upstart microbreweries from taking market share. Beer distributors want a piece of the cut on all sales. Together they have a lot of money to donate to campaigns, and considerable influence. Similar to my earlier post about Sunday growler sales in Minnesota, this is what Frederic Bastiat called legal plunder. That was back in 1850. There is nothing new under the sun.
This is a perfect example of one group of people using government to prohibit another group from engaging in commerce which would be otherwise unobjectionable. See also: rent seeking.
